Plans and evolves processes and infrastructure to execute programs which support rapid maturation and deployment of capability while sustaining a stable security posture and incorporating ongoing stakeholder feedback. Integrates development pipelines leveraging automation with test-driven development tools and continuous integration/test frameworks. Implements provisioning and deployment techniques via packaging, componentizing, or Cloud distribution. Functions with agile principles to execute efficiently in an environment of continuous feedback. Ensures implementation of Software Configuration Management (SCM), code quality, and code coverage with automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Subsystem Support Contract (GSSC) program. May consider telecommuting as an option.

What You’ll Get To Do:

Working with our team will allow you to help design pipelines and software implementations within the GovCloud environment. You will also be heavily integrated in deciding the best way to deploy the products and services built by our team. The position will provide great opportunities to build creative solutions using your expertise in cloud architecture. With a variety of projects being built by our team ranging from web-based software application, machine learning models, and data engineering projects you will be able to branch out across cloud architectural designs and help implement unique solutions that we provide to our customers.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:
•    14 Years with Bachelors in Science, 4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD.
•    Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance - Ability to communicate effectively with team and customers
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills - Familiarity with Agile SW Development processes.
•    Work with multiple development teams to help plan software architectural decisions
•    Experience with requirements gathering and creating actionable work items from requirements
•    Database administration 

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Active Secret Clearance with reinvestigation date in the last 6 years.
•    DevOps experience (Continuous Integration, Containerization)
•    Cloud experience (Amazon, Azure)
•    Cloud architecture patterns
•    Agile software development practices
•    Database design and implementation
•    Focus on security implementation and maintenance
•    Experience planning for scalability and expansion
•    Designing for performance optimization at scale
•    Knowledge of multiple NoSQL database products
•    Helping plan and execute software upgrades and deployments

Salary Range: $134,700 USD - $202,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
