Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Test Engineer - Telemetry Engineer.  This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel – Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

The successful candidate will support Flight and Ground Test system level testing as the Responsible Engineering Authority for Telemetry systems.

What Youll Get To Do: 


• Providing the documentation, technical implementation, and configuration for telemetry systems as part of a missile launch support system
• Technical experience with IRIG 108 Chapter 10, Pulse Code Modulation, Telemetry Description Documentation
• Electrical power system design including System Schematic and creation of wiring path diagrams.
• Develop and release engineering documentation, and creating encoder configuration files for systems such as L3 and/or Teletronics. 
• Converting raw data to engineering units
• Real time telemetry decomutation and display (such as IADS)
• Participating in technical exchange meetings, interfacing with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables.
• Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

Youll Bring These Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or 2 Years with Masters, 0 Years with PhD.  An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
•    US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years)
•    Experience with telemetry processing
•    Proficiency in MS Office

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

•    Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 4 years of relevant experience; or 2 Years with Masters, 0 Years with PhD.  An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

•    US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years)
•    Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
•    Proficiency in MS Office

Salary Range: $79,700 USD - $119,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
