Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Project Engineer in the Change Integration Group. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program. Learn more about the Sentinel (GBSD) program here

What You’ll Get To Do: 

This position will be responsible for executing scope in the Change Integration organization and coordinating with responsible engineers to bring needed changes to board. This role will work closely with the Chief Engineers office and with IPTs to gather impacts while performing technical review of changes within their purview and guiding said changes to implementation.

Position Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Technical impact assessment, planning and strategy for change implementation plans (technical change plan/ cost and schedule planning) to meet dynamic mission needs.

  • Review change packages for consistency and quality to go to board and adheres to the overall Change Process.

  • Assures only approved changes are incorporated into controlled products and established baselines.

  • Conduct verification checks on board approved change requests/packages.

  • Coordinates with Configuration Management organization to verify path forward for implementation.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

Job Qualifications: 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 14 Years with of experience with Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree; 12 Years with Masters; 9 years with PhD.

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.

  • Change Management experience.

  • Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers and customers.

  • Excellent technical writing skills, and team building skills.

  • Demonstrated communication skills and flexibility.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Current Active DoD Top Secret clearance.

  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes.

  • Direct experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database.

  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and CAMEO.

  • Subcontractor technical oversight experience.

  • Engineering experience at the development and/ or production stages of the lifecycle.

  • Background or experience in hardware design, electrical engineering or systems engineering on a rocket or missile platform.

Salary Range: $122,500 USD - $183,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
