Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Manager 1 to join our team, located in Roy, UT.  The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a team of approximately two to four supply chain planners (various levels) supporting ICBM Sustainment programs.  

This leader will guide their team to manage and monitor supplier performance from PO placement to delivery, holding suppliers accountable for their delivery dates and other contractual requirements.  This will require collaboration with the Procurement team and other Supply Chain Planners. 

The Manager will also act as the main focal point for GSC estimates needed for proposal efforts, ensuring to collaborate with other GSC functions.  This role will create and establish reports and metrics including briefing management and internal customers on status.  Duties include:

  • Responsible for activities and knowledge within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process. 
  • Participate in various aspects of supply chain process areas: Supply Chain-Plan, Supply Chain-Source, Supply Chain-Make, Supply Chain-Deliver as well as Supply Chain-Operations.
  • Exhibit end-to-end supply chain competency and manages one or more Supply Chain functions (Planning, Sourcing, Small Business/Disadvantaged Programs, Supplier Quality, Warehouse & Transportation, Analytics, Compliance, Systems, etc.).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, or business/project management.Or, in lieu of a degree, 9+ years of relevant experience in supply chain or business/project management.
  • At least one year of experience leading projects or cross-functional teams
  • Experience with holding suppliers accountable to their delivery dates
  • Experience in supporting proposal efforts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to effectively drive GSC execution across multiple organizations with differing priorities
  • Understanding of specifications, drawings & supplier statements of work (SOWs)
  • Knowledge of GSC processes including planning, MRP, procurement, goods receipt, etc.
  • Experience in supporting government proposal efforts including bills of material and labor bases of estimates
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop successful internal and external relationships
  • Proficiency in the use of SAP

Salary Range: $85,400 USD - $128,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
