Northrop Grumman Space Systems s seeking a Supply Chain Director 2 for our Roy, UT location.

The Director of Supply Chain Programs for the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division (SDS) will lead a diverse team of experienced Directors and Managers of Supply Chain Programs responsible for major subcontractors and/or major subcontracted systems, as well as complex Bills of Material (BOMs).  This director’s responsibilities include collaborating with senior level division, BU, and program executive leadership to understand business requirements and identify and manage the needs for subcontracts and material across the portfolio’s programs.   Responsibilities will include planning, negotiations, risk management and functional performance, managing key subcontractor cost, schedule, technical and quality performance. This position reports to Senior Director of Operations for SDS.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible and accountable for the capture/proposal, strategy, material finance/CAM management, and execution of all material and services content for SDS
  • Acts as the main focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) for the entire supply chain and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers
  • Responsible GSC leader of professionals within SDS
  • Develops the material strategy and leads the activities for GSC in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
  • Provide differentiated and affordable supply chain solutions for existing programs and new business pursuits
  • Ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategies
  • Leads supply chain program execution and is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution
  • Implement strategies and actions to ensure timely delivery of materials and subcontract services in support of program needs
  • Drive continuous improvements in supply chain/subcontracts related processes via collaboration with other functions, programs, and the extended supply chain
  • Ensure compliance with the wide range of regulatory and other requirements and achieve supplier diversity requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience (or 10 years with a Masters) in defense or aerospace systems and/or management in development or production projects
  • 5+ years leading and/or managing teams
  • Advanced knowledge of supply chain management techniques, practices or theories
  • Experience in managing programs or subcontracts in excess of $50M, inclusive of cost-type contracts
  • Demonstrated success in leading managers and/or professionals to achieve projects cost, performance, and schedule requirements
  • Must have an active and current DoD Secret clearance
  • Ability to travel domestically, up to 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain management on a major program
  • Experience in working with capture teams in developing and submitting competitive and compliant major proposals, including teaming strategies and complex subcontracting strategies
  • Experience with a broad range of supply chain issues including risk management, terms and conditions, negotiations, contract types (fixed price and cost type), and post award management
  • Rigorous knowledge of metrics, performance tracking, Earned Value Management and data integrity

Salary Range: $186,700 USD - $280,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
