Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Cyber System Security Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will be part of the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program (Minuteman III ICBM replacement) development contract. Cyber Systems Engineer will be responsible for assessing and prioritizing a broad spectrum of security threats. Key protection activities will involve intelligence fusion, vendor research, trusted foundry, program protection, anti-counterfeit, and supply chain security.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Be the main focal point of contact for Government Intelligence Team to different sections within the company.
  • Provide mechanism for Threat based Request for Information (RFIs) between government and different sections within the company.
  • Ensure threat library is organized, updated and maintained at all levels of classification.
  • Provide threat briefings on a regularly occurring basis or as required.
  • Coordinate with Intelligence Community for latest threat information.
  • Participate and advise in a variety of working groups.
  • Support OPSEC and Insider Threat programs.
  • Conduct all-source Analysis activities and provide capabilities on a broad spectrum of threats.
  • Ensure communication of threat environment with stakeholders.
  • Support MDT with other duties as assigned.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off

This position may be filled at a Principal level or Sr. Principal level.

You'll bring these qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related experience; Master’s degree with 3 years; PhD with 0 years; or an additional 4 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. (Sr. Principal level requires 13 years of experience; 9 years with a Bachelor's; 7 years with a Master's; or 4 years with a PhD)
  • Experience with Cyber Operations and/or requirements
  • Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain SAP access and Top-Secret Clearance

These qualifications would be nice to have:

  • Experience in executing all phases of Cyber Systems Engineering activities to include Requirements development/management, and Verification and Validation (V&V)
  • Experience with Cyber Readiness
  • Experience developing training resources and exercises
  • Course work in Cyber threats, analytics and operational risk.
  • Knowledge in the fields of CUI/CDI Protection, Supply Chain Risk Management, Software/hardware assurance, supply chain risk management, anti-counterfeit protections, defense exportability features, trusted foundry, and information security.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with investigation in the last 6 years

Salary Range: $96,400 USD - $144,600 USD
Salary Range 2: $119,400 USD - $179,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
