Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Project Management. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. 

What You’ll Get To Do: 

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Facilitate ongoing projects and serve as a liaison between Program Management, Supplier Management, Engineering, Cost Management and other disciplines in support of C&L/LE.

  • Serves as part of the C&L Supplier Management Team contributors for current and future projects. This team acts as the main point of contact for technical decision making for suppliers within Launch Equipment for the Command and Launch Segment of the Sentinel Program.

  • Provides financial control and maintenance of budgets including EVMS metrics and Variance Explanations as a member of the Control Account Manager team.

  • Prepares and manages schedules and prepares status reports on the health of the projects. Interprets schedules from suppliers to understand impact on program schedule and milestones.

  • Identifies risks and opportunities and coordinates with project teams to mitigate and retire risks.

  • Develops and maintains Requests for Proposal (RFP) to include reviewing & updating Supplier Statements of Work (SSOW), reviewing Basis of Estimates (BOEs), performing quality checks on all proposal submittals, attending proposal related reviews.

  • Evaluates issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Prepares higher level management briefings and develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and tools for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and customers.

  • Candidate must be an independent self-starter able to work with multi-disciplined teams (internal and external) to analyze and solve problems in order to meet contractual requirements.

  • Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

Job Qualifications: 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 3 Years of experience with Bachelor’s Degree; 1 Years with Masters.

  • Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 5 years.

  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) within 365 days from submission.

  • Experience leading a team in successful completion of projects, which may include program management/ project scheduling, working experience in a manufacturing, production, facilities or engineering role.

  • Experience in a role with oversight or review of a subcontract or supplier.

  • Project / Program Management skills (proposal creation, scheduling, budget tracking).

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently in meeting customer requirements/expectations.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Sufficient knowledge of company project management standards, policies, procedures and guidelines to include supplier management and employee management.

  • Is a natural relationship builder able to earn the trust of colleagues and suppliers.

  • Proven ability to deliver effective communication verbally, written, and through well-crafted presentations across all levels of an organization.

  • Experience in a role with oversight or review of a subcontract or supplier worth more than $10M.

  • Experience on an Engineering and Manufacturing Development.

Salary Range: $58,800 USD - $88,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
