Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Project Management. This position will be located in Roy, Utah.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You’ll Get To Do: 

This position oversees and manages facilities projects and construction activities and serves as liaison between leadership, program and other customers. Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Gather, review, and finalize requirements data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.

  • Work with subject matter experts, suppliers, etc. (as required) to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot and solve issues related to mechanical system, machines and or material assemblies.

  • Prepare Scopes of Work and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction services.

  • Review and estimate costs, including design, equipment, installation, labor, materials, construction, and other related costs.

  • Inspect or direct the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.  Candidate will have some familiarity with ICD705 facility standards.

  • Manage integration of technologies (networking, audio visual systems) into facility

  • Forecast and report on project status, including key project metrics for Risk, Cost, and Schedule.

  • Produce and implement risk mitigation and schedule recovery plans as required.

  • Identify any task that will require special inspection and coordinates with customer and contractors

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   Additionally, as a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 10 Years of experience with Bachelors in Science degree; 8 Years with Masters; (or 4 years additional experience in lieu of degree)

  • Must have U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain DOD Secret Clearance and obtain & maintain access to Special Access Programs as a condition of continued employment.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Active in-scope DoD Secret Clearance, reviewed within the last 6 years.


Salary Range: $89,800 USD - $134,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
