Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Project Manager. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This is an individual contributor, non-manager role with no direct reports.

What You’ll Get To Do: 

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Integrate, control, and manage product requirements.

  • Non-technical requirements management to include; Meeting Facilitation, Action Item Tracking/Management, CDRL Management, Staffing Management.

  • Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress, for intervention, and problem solving with project managers and functional managers; including facilitation and preparation of reports providing cost, schedule and/or technical requirements status.

  • Support of program schedule, cost, risk, issue, and opportunity management assessments.

  • Coordinate with internal and external customers and integrated product teams.

  • Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.

  • Monitor program progress and identifies risks and issues.

  • Day to day collaboration with cross functional teams to ensure timely awareness of project updates.

  • Support the preparation and presentation of technical and programmatic packages.

  • Design data models to extract data from operational databases and transform data to easily understood views.

  • Process unstructured data into a form suitable for analysis, and conduct the analysis.

  • Independently design interactive analytic solutions.

  • Work independently on end-to-end solutions, from data investigation to visual dashboards.

  • Automate Key reporting processes.

  • Develop reports and dashboards for stakeholders across the engineering organization.

  • Interface and Integrate across the Integrated Product Team and the GBSD Program.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

Job Qualifications: 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 15 Years with of Project Management/related industry experience with Bachelor’s degree; 13 Years with Masters. 

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.

  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) within 6 months of submission.

  • Program/Project management experience including Change Management, Risk and Opportunity Management and Change Proposal processes.

  • Excellent communication, analysis and problem solving skills and Strong interpersonal skills. The ability to manage communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shard, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program stakeholder needs.

  • The ability to identify and address program impacts through systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the program.

  • The ability to monitor/control program plans, cost and schedule baselines that meet both program contractual requirements and stakeholder expectations.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience in program management, engineering, software configuration.

  • Experience working development, production and/or sustainment programs.

  • Proficiency/Expert with Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Cost Account Management/Control Account Management Certification.

  • Experience/Training in Earned Value Management.

  • Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning System.

  • Capital Project management Experience.

  • Experience with BOE’s and modifications.

  • Comfortable briefing leadership and providing status both down and in and up and out.

  • Familiarity with Agile practices and the Atlassian/JIRA suite.

Salary Range: $111,400 USD - $167,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
