Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
What You'll Get to Do:
You will support the development of the electrical design of payload systems that will be flown on the GBSD missile system.  You will be involved in all phases of the design, development, testing and manufacture of payload electronics systems.  An important aspect of your responsibilities will be the evaluation of electrical designs and providing recommendations as to how those designs will meet requirements. You will support the concept creation through the design and analysis phases and may also participate in the manufacturing, testing, and integration of the systems. Electrical engineering utilizes a Systems Engineering approach to establish SE functional and performance requirements. SE engineering is involved in all phases of research and product lifecycle development starting with requirements, initial concepts, trade studies, early air vehicle design influence, design and development of the SE item, fabrication/procurement, engineering evaluation testing, verification, delivery of hardware, and support of delivered hardware.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for electrical design and assisting a team of electrical designers in the development of payload electronic systems.
• Work within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment, interfacing with IPT leadership, suppliers, customers, and other technical disciplines
• Use standard suite of tools for the development of electrical schematics
• Participate in on-site support at product manufacturing and integration sites
• Generating release packages in CPLM and working with stakeholders to assure rapid release of designs.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   UTSpace

.Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a STEM discipline with at least 2 years of relatable work experience or 0 years with a Master's of Science degree in Computer Engineer, Electrical Engineering, or a STEM discipline
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance with Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time

Preferred Qualifications:
• Current Secret clearance preferred with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
• Experience utilizing CPLM for configuration management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
