Join us and launch your career.   Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the C&L IATC Test Automation & Analysis Team. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.   The selected candidate will work with the test team to develop software systems and tools.   This position includes: • Software/Script development using languages such as C, C++, Java, Perl, Python • Ability to create new software from requirements • Generation of applicable documentation, user manuals and presentations • Interfacing with program management and technical staff • Problem resolution and improvement recommendations • Occasional travel to Northrop Grumman and Government locations within the United States

  This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   GBSD_Jobs

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5 years of systems or test engineering experience with Bachelors in a STEM related field; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD
  • Experience in software engineering with C/C++ in a Linux environment, script/software development for the purpose of automating test
  • Experience developing automated tests for acceptance, functional, system and regressiong testing
  • Minimum 1 year of experience developing and maintaining automated testing framework and infrastructure, developing automated test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, acceptance criteria, test data, investigating, and debugging test failures, updating tests or reporting bugs as necessary
  • U.S. Citizenship with an Active Secret Security Clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
               Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in software development on a real time operating system
  • Experience using and/or setting up a DevSecOps pipeline
  • Familiarity with common source control tools (git, Mercurial, etc.) and automated build system workflows (Jenkins, Go, etc.)
  • Exposure to the Agile methodology
  • Familiarity with virtual machine technology
  • Active Top Secret security clearance
