Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Test Data Instrumentation Engineering Manager to support the System Test Team. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This position may require occasional travel from Roy to El Segundo and/or Vandenberg AFB. Learn more about the GBSD program here.

The Instrumentation manager responsibilities will include:
- Oversight of the of the on-board instrumentation system design and implementation
- Collaborating with other teams to assure system test instrumentation solution meets program requirements
- Risk reduction and checkout activities in a lab setting using hardware-in-the-loop test line configurations
- Leading the on-board test equipment (OBTE) engineering team
- Work closely with Air Vehicle teams, subcontractors and other IPT teams to meet delivery, integration and test requirements in support of the program flight test program schedule As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or another STEM discipline with 14 years of engineering experience; 12 years with a Master's of Science degree in Engineering; 9 years of relevant experience with an engineering PhD
- Active DoD Secret clearance with completed investigation within the last 6 years
- Prior experience working with flight instrumentation systems aboard aerospace platforms or ICBMs
- Prior experience leading engineering teams, defining process and standards for an organization or program

Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret DoD Clearance and ability to obtain a Top Secret and/or SCI clearance
- Prior experience in integration and test activities on an air platform, preferably an ICBM program
- Managing instrumentation plan for ground and flight testing, including System Integration Labs (SILs) or Engineering Model Test Beds (EMTBs)
- Large test data collection, process, reduction, analysis, storage
- Model Based System Engineering – test planning and verification in MBSE, knowledge in CAMEO
- Interfacing with Integrated Data Environments (IDE)
- IPT management and people management, building an organization 50+, including staffing and long range strategic planning
- Schedule and budget management, EVMS
- Affordability, Risk and Opportunity management
- ACAT 1D programs – leading through major design reviews and program milestones
- Knowledgeable in using IADS or other telemetry display software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in executive level briefings and communications, including chart championing, strategy & theming, and integration
- Demonstrated ability to perform in highly dynamic and demanding environments, operating efficiently while managing multiple high priorities

Travel is expected 10% of the time in support of test planning or test execution activities.
