Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a project manager level 3. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.  Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.   What you will get to do: The project manager will support the global supply chain integrated program team (IPT) lead in leading and coordinating projects and tasks that cross multiple suppliers.  The project manager will have heaving interactions with other functional areas and will be chartered with driving projects to closure.  Examples include:
  • Manufacturing readiness assessment (MRA) planning
  • Supplier connectivity
  • Supplier clearances
  • Material receipts and sales forecasting
  • Risk and opportunity management

Basic Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing
  • Experience in project management in a multi-disciplined engineering and manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Project & Power Point
  • Demonstrated ability in working with cross organizational teams and customers
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance per business requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
Previously worked in a deadline driven environment.
- Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement.
- Experience with bases of estimates, shop order creation, and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
- Reasonable knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, production, procurement and quality basics
- Active Secret clearance
