Explore your future and launch your career today.  The GBSD System Control team is looking for a Systems Engineering Architect to lead and be responsible for developing and maintaining the MBSE training program for GBSD program. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.  Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.    What you will get to do:
  • Lead training teams to train new employees and maintain existing employee training
  • Stay abreast of latest industry practices and implement them on the program
  • Work with software development teams to develop training materials and tools
  • Advice program leadership and integrated product teams on best practices for MBSE and tool application
  • Train team members of the program including suppliers and government customers on MBSE
  • Work independently and train across multi-disciplined/multi-site teams to architect, model, simulate, and analyze systems to predict/verify system performance against functional/capability requirements
  • Share lesson learned and best practice from the MBSE Community of Practice (CoP) and other Northrop Grumman sectors

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or other related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) curriculum
  • 14 Years relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD
  • In-depth technical expertise in MBSE techniques; requirements management; interface control and verification; trade studies and analysis of alternatives; development of end to end solutions
  • Ability to train other members of the program including suppliers and government customers on MBSE
  • Understanding of SysML, UML or other descriptive constructs/tools may be used
  • Active Secret or higher clearance
  • Experience with space system architectures: SysML and DODAF
  • Experience with MagicDraw-Cameo
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Broad technical and MBSE experience, across multiple platforms, and encompassing the entire product development lifecycle
  • Experience in all levels of space systems engineering including vehicle level to lower architecture levels
  • Computer programming, modeling and simulation skills, for estimating space vehicle performance
  • Experience with DOORS and requirements/architecture linking
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph within 5 years
