Northrop Grumman Defense Services is seeking a Manager of Flight Operations 2 in Sacheon, South Korea in support of the Republic of Korea (ROK) Global Hawk (GH) Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Program.

Knowledge and ability to support the ROK GH system and ensure safety of flight is the top priority. Able to apply project management knowledge, skills, and techniques to effectively manage a successful program and while working closely with the ROK Air Force (ROKAF) Flight Representatives and contractor personnel to ensure safe execution of mission requirements.

Skill and experience supporting the development of operational plans and personnel utilization to ensure smooth operations and scheduling to maximize flight hours in support of ROKAF GH Training and Operations. The individual will also support the training of ROKAF flight crew personnel (pilots/sensor operators) as part of the daily duties as the operations manager. Strong ability to develop customer relationships to shape end user requirements and support of the contract. Significant experience and in-depth knowledge of military aviation operations, to include unmanned aircraft systems preferred. Leadership experience, team-building, and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a strong technical background are critical to the success of this position.

Ability to comply with Contractor Flight Operations procedures, as mandated by U.S. Government oversight authority.

Note: It is feasible that the assigned location for this position could be changed to Osan, Republic of Korea.

Basic Qualifications: 

Must have 13 years experience in the U.S. Military or Defense Industry . Will consider an applicant with a Bachelor's Degree with combined 9 years of experience in
- Current Class Il (Class III if Sensor Operator) or higher FAA medical certificate.
- Qualified Global Hawk Pilot or Sensor Operator
- Must have a Secret Level Clearance or higher to start


Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently qualified Global Hawk Instructor Pilot or Instructor Sensor Operator (ISO)
- Experience working with non-English-speaking personnel
- Experience working in the defense aviation industry
- Experience developing operational plans and personnel utilization to maximize flight hours
- Experience leading an operational site in close coordination with the customer
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Experience with the administrative tasks required to comply with U.S. Government oversight


Salary Range: $107,800 USD - $161,800 USD
