Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Facilities Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in St Augustine, FL.

In this role you will serve as engineering support for the site facilities team as well as lead and execute facilities projects that support the sustaining infrastructure and program requirements.  This will include:

  • Gather, review, and organize facility data, with the intent to develop projects for predictive replacements, energy efficiency and other initiatives
  • Plan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of buildings, structures, equipment, and other facilities.
  • Act as a maintenance engineering liaison to maintenance operations with regular technical input on minor to complex problems
  • Implement and oversee building management system projects and goals for site initiatives
  • Generate and/or review cost estimates to include design, equipment, installation, labor and materials, construction, and other related costs.
  • Develop implement and maintain site construction standards to be used sitewide for newly generated work
  • Manage and execute multiple facilities initiatives simultaneously working with several departments to drive execution
  • Forecast and report on project status, including key metrics for risk, cost, and schedule.
  • Understand and serve as a resource for compliance requirements such as NFPA, OSHA, ADA, customer contracts and Florida Building Code.
  • Help development site projects and repairs based on facility needs and system knowledge
  • Maintain and upkeep site drawing systems with CAD software

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or Architecture/Construction focus.
  • 5 years’ experience of project management, construction management, or related facilities experience
    • OR 3 years of experience with a Master's Degree
    • OR 0 years of experience with a PhD
  • Project Management Experience on site infrastructure projects
  • Experience working in an industrial manufacturing facility
  • Experience working in and around maintenance operations
  • Ability to review and comprehend construction drawings and specifications
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office software applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with MS Project or other scheduling software.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems
  • Experience in implementing maintenance initiatives and projects
  • Experience with facility equipment operation, service and troubleshooting
  • Experience with design and construction of classified facilities
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems and Controls
  • Experience with foundational engineering concepts as typically deployed in industrial manufacturing with respect to mechanical, plumbing and electrical utilities
  • Active Secret Security Clearance

Salary Range: $79,700 USD - $119,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
