The US Principal Business Development Rep role is to be responsible for developing local business activities and maintaining relationships with our key customers in the US territory. Employee will ensure wide spread customer satisfaction through the delivery of sales  in accordance with applicable company and marine standards. Role will be the Subject Matter Expert for projects by gathering requirements, defining retrofit solutions, responding to project change requirements as well as customer requirement escalations.  Employee will assist by following and reporting new build activities, working with key customer on quote preparation. Internally, they will be coordinating intercompany resources and advocating to ensure each project is delivered on-time, on-budget and within the customer’s needs. This is a hybrid role, located in St. Rose, Louisiana, and require some onsite presence.

This position will ensure focus/continuing business development in deep sea tanker, bulk carrier, container, ferry and tow business area with a goal of growing this region, not including supporting indirect new build business which would impact other regions of the globe.  Likewise, this employee will split his/her time to market and sell to both Commercial and US Government (defence).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Degree in either engineering (e.g. electrical engineering, Information Technology or similar), business (e.g. business administration, business commerce) or recognized maritime certification and 6 years of experience or a Master's and 4 years' experience in Business Development, B2B sales or project coordination environment.
  • Capable of working independently under minimum supervision
  • Focused driven
  • Experience balancing multiple priorities and multiple projects at the same time

  • Strong numeracy and problem solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills, fluency in English.

    Strong knowledge and experience using MS Office products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intermediate Knowledge of Marine Navigation and Communication Electronics (Radars, Gyrocompasses, VHF radios, VDR’s etc.). preferably working with commercial or industrial electronics

Salary Range: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
