Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Quality Control Technician to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Quality Control Technician (QC Tech) performs analyses on in-process and/or finished products from manufacturing, to ensure quality standards and compliance to internal, customer, and regulatory requirements. Prepares and monitors quality statistics and reports. Reviews production records for conformance to procedures. The QC Tech address the non-conformances of in-process, manufactured, packaged or tested product in a timely manner. Solid understanding of the impacts of production on the QMS is required. Knowledge/certification on AS9100, AS9102, AS9145 are critical to the success of the QC Tech in maintaining quality standards that meet or exceed the expectations of the customers. The QC Tech serves as the voice of the processes to engineering, configuration management and quality management. The QC Tech will also serve as the resource for immediate resolution on non-conformances identified on the shop floor; working in conjunction with engineering and the quality engineer to identify up stream permanent solutions to the identified non-conformances.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; A.S. Degree or equivalent preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Experience with ISO 9000/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Solid computer skills - MS Office suite.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with standard Mechanical Inspection techniques and tools.
  • Blueprint reading skills.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement/PES techniques.


Salary Range: $39,600 USD - $66,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
