The Configuration and Data Management team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as an iReturn Configuration Controller based out of Salt Lake City, UT. The qualified applicant will join a cohort of employees re-entering the workforce after a career break of at least two years. This cohort will receive special on-boarding designed to provide an effective re-entry into the workforce. iReturn℠ provides experienced professionals with a 12-week "returnship" to prepare for a full-time career in one of several fields at Northrop Grumman through training, professional development and networking opportunities. Qualified applicants will join a cohort of employees returning to the workforce after a 2+ career break for this "returnship" program that focuses on giving you a seamless transition back into the workforce. This cohort program will approximately run from August - November and prepare candidates for an effective re-entry into the workforce. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be eligible for full-time roles with the company.

What You’ll get to Do:

• Provide a variety of basic clerical support to configuration management operations.
• Assist in documenting and tracking routine aspects of hardware and/or software development and modification.
• Make changes to established master files of contractually required technical data.
• Assist in performing configuration management, data management or a combination.
• Maintain databases, assist in using basic engineering design drawings, parts lists, code or other items to create and document baselines; verify authorization for and incorporates all changes or additions to them.
• Log, file, and track all necessary drawings, documents, lists and various other items.
• Generate a variety of standard reports.
• Track location of hardware/software in order to incorporate future changes and additions.

   

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma/GED and 2 years additional education and/or experience and a current career break of at least two years.
  • Experience in Material Resource Planning (MRP) using SAP, including how to interpret supply and demand, build structure, and bill of material (BOM).
  • Experience interpreting engineering documents, drawings, engineering bills of material, and excellent computer skill (i.e. SAP, PLM, ISE, Microsoft, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • 2 years of experience utilizing SAP as a Material Resource Planning Tool, specifically creating and Maintaining Bills of Material (BOMs) in SAP.
  •  2 years of hands on experience working with Engineering Parts Lists.
