Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. At Northrop Grumman, you’ll have the resources, support, and team to do some of the best work of your career. 

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will be well versed with Agile and Scrum methods, hands-on technical experience with relevant industry tools, and a demonstrated ability to identify and solve challenging technical problems.

How you will contribute to the Mission:

  • Identify and solve challenging technical problems

  • Scripting various languages including Ansible, Python, or PowerShell to automate labor intensive repetitive tasks

  • Development of the release cycle, while operating within a continuous integration environment that emphasizes verifiable secure components and processes

  • Utilize Versioning Repository tools, Continuous Integration Frameworks, Application Containerization, Automation Deployment, Code Quality and Code Security Scanning tools

 

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our San Antonio, TX location.

 

This Position will be filled at the Lead DevOps Engineer level.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 14 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 12 years of experience, or a Ph.D. with 9 years of experience; additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  • Experienced with software development and/or scripting

  • Experience implementing DevSecOps for large program using Agile development methods

  • Experience operating in a commercial or private cloud such as AWS or Azure using Helm, Ansible, Terraform, Twistlock, and Docker

  • Active U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance or higher required to start

  • Special program approval required to start

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DOD 8140 certification or technical certification in related technologies

Salary Range: $161,000 USD - $241,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
