Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Principal Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst to join our team of diverse and talented individuals. This position is located in San Diego, CA. MAY consider a full-time teleworking arrangement for the RIGHT candidate.

In this department, we have a small (2 person + manager) team that provides a wide range of financial planning and reporting functions for a Business Unit with over $600M in annual revenues and approximately 8 operating units.

We are in search of a well-seasoned individual contributor who is looking for a place to call home. In this role, you will be challenged to master this position, but you will receive extensive training to get you there!

The ideal candidate will have a thirst and desire to learn our business and be WILLING to work outside of normal working hours to accelerate that learning.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in anything related to business (finance, economics, accounting, marketing, etc.) and 6 years of related experience.
  • Expert-Level Microsoft Excel skills such as ability to quickly extract data from our ERP systems and analyze data in Excel using either pivot tables or Index(Match) functionality.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks at a time and work overtime as needed. Some of our deliverables must be completed within a very short time frame.
  • Ability to communicate comfortably with functional and senior leaders within our organization.


Salary Range: $83,800 USD - $125,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
