The successful candidate will perform as a Software Integrator and Test Engineer on a mission planning and mission execution program for multiple manned and unmanned systems including Global Hawk, MQ-9, U-2, among other platforms. This software integrator role installs, configures, executes, troubleshoots, and tests software services built by the software team and integrates them with software services provided by the other companies within the ecosystem.  This software integrator role will work with software developers as well as coordinate and work closely with integrators from our partner companies. The coordination and integration work will be in a mix of unclassified and classified environments. Software testing is currently manual but the successful candidate for the software test engineer aspect of this role will develop and execute a plan to automate software testing using commercial automated test tools.

Program Responsibilities include:
•    Coordinate and collaborate directly with software development and other engineering discipline teams to develop, write, document, and execute software requirement verification and integration, tests, including identifying and tracking issues through resolution
•    Support software integration with hardware components in systems integration labs and other integrated test environments
•    Develop, maintain, execute, and validate test plans and cases to ensure the quality of software solutions
•    Execute manual and automated testing to generate test metrics and final reports on testing activities
•    Create, design, maintain and expand infrastructures to support automation
•    Utilize software development skills to design, code, and implement tests: unit, integration, regression
•    Triage, identify and isolate defects and issues in all environments and retesting
•    Review and provide feedback on test designs, policies, and processes

Basic Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 14 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 12 years of related engineering experience, or a PhD in STEM with 9 related engineering experience
•    Active Security+
•    Understanding of networking and network protocols
•    Demonstrated experience with XML
•    Experience with automated test framework such as Cucumber
•    Demonstrated competence in the application of software integration and automated test processes, tools, procedures, and metrics
•    Current Top Secret clearance with active Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) or SCI eligibility
•    Willingness to travel to Beale AFB in Northern California.  Frequency would vary, but plan on a minimum of once monthly for a week.

Preferred Qualifications
•    Advanced degree in a STEM field
•    Cloud and container experience (e.g., installing and troubleshooting Docker or Kubernetes deployed software)  
•    Familiarity with Agile methodology
•    Working knowledge and experience with Agile methodology
•    Demonstrated experience with software test automation at multiple requirement levels
•    Knowledge of OMS, primarily UCI using ActiveMQ
•    Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

Salary Range: $156,000 USD - $234,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
