Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager Systems Engineering to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.
The selected candidate will work closely with the Global Hawk Program Team across the Enterprise in various engineering functions to ensure the overall system meets all performance requirements and manage the Technical Baseline across Global Hawk programs. 
Essential Functions:
•    Ensure successful definition, implementation, control and validation of internal and external system interfaces for the Global Hawk Enterprise. 
•    Lead a multidisciplinary team to develop test requirements, develop procedures, and execute integration activities to demonstrate designed capabilities have been met. 
•    Define and maintain standard Specialty (i.e. E3, Human Factors, Safety, Cyber Security) processes and metrics across the Global Hawk Enterprise.
•    Define and roadmap Specialty efforts across the Global Hawk Enterprise, driving reuse and commonality while ensuring a high level of technical rigor.
•    Work with Global Hawk SE&I Lead to develop and implement long term strategies for improving Specialty performance.
•    Utilize Agile methodologies which will enable rapid capability insertion and reduce time to field tools, technologies, and procedures to enable more efficient integration.  
•    Manage and lead Specialty teams for the Global Hawk Enterprise.   
•    Provide oversight and guidance for execution of all aspects of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle
•    Presentation skills to effectively provide status to internal executive management and customers.

Basic Qualifications:
•    BS degree in engineering or science and 9 years of related experience or 7 years with a Masters or 4 years with PhD.
•    Demonstrated ability to lead Systems Engineering execution on complex systems. 
•    Demonstrated ability to provide Strategic Roadmapping for application of process improvements across diverse engineering disciplines.
•    Experience utilizing Earned Value Management System.  
•    Active DoD Secret Clearance.
•    Experience leading a team of 10+ individuals in a technical environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    MS degree in a STEM Field 
•    Aerospace Safety experience 
•    Previous experience as a SEIT Lead
•    Cyber and System Security Engineering experience 
•    Human Factors Engineering experience
•    Experience in Autonomous Systems Programs
•    Experience working on US Air Force Programs
•    Active TS/SCI.

Salary Range: $171,000 USD - $256,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
