We are looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineering Manager with our Mission Systems Sector, based out of San Diego, CA.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineering Manager.  The Systems Engineering Manager will be responsible to support the JAD-G Operating Unit (OU).  This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution with a minimum of 9 years of experience; OR 7 years of experience with a Masters (MS) degree; OR 4 years of experience with a PhD

  • Experience establishing strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.

    • Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits.

  • Proven ability to perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.

  • Clearance: Candidate must currently have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience in Cyber and/or Network

  • Security+, CASP, or CISSP certification.

  • Demonstrated experience leading medium to large complex projects

  • Demonstrated experience managing the fact-finding, analysis, and development of hypothesis/conclusions, production of final reports and delivery of presentations

  • Demonstrated responsibility for ensuring that the project delivers to government expectations on time and to budget; manage the project work as defined by the government

  • Demonstrated performance as a consultant in highly specialized, leading edge information technologies and methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience with Risk Management Framework in a DSS and/or JSIG environment

  • Knowledge of MBSE


Salary Range: $143,500 USD - $215,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
