Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Systems Test Engineer to support the Sentinel Command & Launch Systems Engineering & Integration team.  The selected engineer will be responsible for developing requirement verification plans for a large, complex system.  The engineer will perform requirements and system architecture analysis, derive test requirements, and develop detailed model-based test plans.   This position will be located in the beautiful city of San Diego, CA, at one of our two locations; Rancho Carmel, or Kearny Mesa. 

What You Will Get To Do:

  • Apply your Systems, Comms, and/or Network Modeling experience to cutting edge pursuits

  • Participate in architecture definition and complex system problem solving in support of advanced software defined multifunction mission systems

  • Create innovative concepts of operation and employment of the advanced mission system solutions

  • Develop detailed verification procedures thoroughly testing our requirements set.

Basic Qualifications Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer:

  • 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science in STEM field; or 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • System analysis and/or integration experience

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work in an integrated product team (IPT) environment

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

  • Experience in requirements allocation and verification

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent experience in requirements allocation & derivation and verification traceability

  • Model Based System Engineering experience, especially using Cameo

  • Agile development experience, including use of Atlassian products

  • Ability and willingness to travel

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance

  • Ability to obtain DoD Special Program Access (SAP)


Salary Range: $114,300 USD - $171,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
