The Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization is looking for a driven individual for a Supply Chain Planning Specialist (SCPS) role.  The SCPS position is in a growing organization to support the CNI Operating Unit (OU).  The position helps define and develop material strategy for the programs.  The candidate should have a general understanding of SCM principles - materials management, procurement, subcontracts, cost budgets, supplier quality, production, and logistics. This role will encompass supply chain responsibilities from the inception of a program in the proposal phase to the end of a program’s period of performance.  In proposal phase, the SCPS will work with the Program team during the pricing of all material requirements, prepare proposal pricing inputs and support the team in the development of supplier capabilities, risk profiles, and presentations. In execution phase, the SCPS will act as the Program Management Organization (PMO) liaison on behalf of the entire SCM organization who is responsible to monitor and provide status of material deliveries, mitigate schedule and quality risks, and build relationships with the supply base.  This position will involve Control Account Management (CAM) financial and schedule responsibilities which includes Earned Value Management (EVM) tracking, Intranet Program Review System (IPRS) reporting, and implementing Return to Green (RTG) plans.  The candidate should possess exceptional writing skills, and should feel comfortable presenting to upper management.

This position is in San Diego, CA.

 Basic Qualifications: 

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP
  • 6+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, business management or related field with Bachelors; 4+ years with Masters
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain government security clearance

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 4+ years demonstrated success/problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering or program management
  • Demonstrated leadership success and ability to influence team members, interact with peers and all levels of management in the organization

Salary Range: $83,800 USD - $126,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
