Principal Test Conductor T3/Sr. Principal Test Conductor T4

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Test Conductor or Sr. Principal Test Conductor to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

The selected candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations and adapt to change.  The candidate must exhibit strong leadership characteristics in coordinating with multiple teams and managing tasks. The role will be a hybrid of significantly diverse assignments in a collaborative/team setting across all levels. The candidate must be able to develop and execute software installation, integration, and acceptance test procedures.  Candidate should be skilled in software integration planning and execution of separate software components into a single system. Candidate will work with software developers and other engineers, as needed, to help diagnose and identify the root cause of problems found during software installation, integration, acceptance test, and operational events. Candidate will submit detailed problem reports for errors found. Candidate must be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, integration/test engineers, and program leadership. Candidate should be able to review, update, or develop engineering design drawings specific for the test environment. Candidate must possess a Security+ certification.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below:

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Test Conductor:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and a minimum of 5 years of related system integration and test experience; or a Master’s Degree in STEM with a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or 9 years of test experience in lieu of degree.
• An active in-scope DoD Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain special program access.
• Security + Certification

Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Test Conductor:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and a minimum of 9 years of related system integration and test experience; or a Master’s Degree in STEM with a minimum of 7 years of related experience; or 13 years of test experience in lieu of degree.
• An active in-scope DoD Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain special program access.
• Security + Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in software integration, software testing, and test automation
• Familiar with Visio and basic harness design schematics
• Familiar with interconnect design documentation
• Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
• Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.
• Agile Systems Engineering Experience.
• Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
• Experience with Confluence and JIRA.
• Networking experience
• System Administrator experience
• VMWare experience
• Windows, Linux Solaris, and Linux Red Hat experience

Salary Range: $92,200 USD - $138,400 USD

Salary Range 2: $114,300 USD - $171,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
