What You'll Get to Do:

The Northrop Grumman Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) Modeling & Simulation Software (MSS) is seeking an Agile Business Owner to join our team of qualified and diverse leaders at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado. SWDC supports a wide range of Missile Defense Agency (MDA) directorates with multiple products & capabilities under the MSS Task Order. The Business Owner role has primary business and technical responsibility for governance, compliance, and return on investment (ROI) for a solution developed by the Agile Release Train (ART).  This role may require travel of at least 10%. Roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Provide relevant elements of the business context in the defined Program Increment (PI) planning agenda timelines
  • Participate in key activities, including the presentation of vision, draft plan review, assigning business value to team PI objectives, and approving final plans
  • Play a primary role in the draft increment plan review, understanding the bigger picture and how these plans do or do not fulfill the current business objectives
  • Watch for significant external commitments and dependencies
  • Actively circulate during increment planning, communicating business priorities to the teams, and maintaining agreement and alignment among the stakeholders regarding the key objectives of the train
  • Participate management reviews and problem-solving meetings to review and adjust scope, resolve problems and compromise as necessary
  • Serve as Epic Owner to guide major enterprise initiatives
  • Ensure and maintain customers mission visions (roadmaps) are understood and reflected in the MSS Portfolio Backlog.
  • Actively address impediments, especially those that escalate beyond the authority of the key stakeholders on the train
  • Understand and help ensure that business objectives are understood and agreed to by key stakeholders of the release train, including the Release Train Engineer (RTE), Product Management, and System Architects
  • Participate in Release Management, focusing on scope, quality, deployment options, release, and market considerations

Basic Qualifications:

  • 14 Years with BS; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD
  • Final DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills 
  • Experience leveraging project management tools to present project data like status, risk and deliverables to key stakeholders 
  • Full cycle experience working with Agile Release Trains 
  • AGILE (SAFe) certification

Salary Range: 127800 - 191600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
