As a Cyber Systems Engineer, you will be securing systems using current technologies and others yet to come… We are seeking team members who have a thirst for knowledge, approach each day with optimism, and have a relentless drive to solve complex problems. You will work with other NG Space employees and our subcontractors in a dynamic, multi-discipline environment in direct support to an operational satellite ground system. You will use systems engineering methods and tools to accomplish customer/contract goals and support program management in development, enhancement, and maintenance of the operational baseline. You will:
• Work with Risk Management and Cybersecurity tools and Continuous Monitoring controls to monitor and accredit Mission Critical systems
• Facilitate technical baseline management, monitoring, and application of system security controls against several levels of network baselines
• Plan and execute security management tools; develop dashboards for quick reference of the system security baseline; initiate Atlassian tool tasks to assign updates or corrective actions to the system sustainers
• Support the development of new acquisitions and recapitalization of existing hardware and/or software infrastructure
• Perform evaluation and trending of system and program metrics
• Document and maintain system engineering and cyber security processes     
• Perform detailed trade studies and interface directly with third party vendors

Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications for a Cyber Systems Engineer: * 2 year of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 0 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree • Active NRO TS/SCI or DoD TS/SCI security clearance to start 
• Active CI Polygraph or willing and able to submit and obtain
• Familiarity in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Cybersecurity Lifecycle
• Security engineering skills with a working knowledge of cybersecurity technology and DoD/Federal cybersecurity policy (i.e., DoDI 8500.01, NIST SP 800-53, etc.)
 Basic Qualifications for a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer: * 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 0 years of relevant experience with a PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Active NRO TS/SCI or DoD TS/SCI security clearance to start 
• Active CI Polygraph or willing and able to submit and obtain
• Familiarity in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Cybersecurity Lifecycle
• Security engineering skills with a working knowledge of cybersecurity technology and DoD/Federal cybersecurity policy (i.e., DoDI 8500.01, NIST SP 800-53, etc.)

 
Preferred Qualifications: 

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
• Current Security+ CE certification
• Current CISSP or equivalent
• Experience in systems requirements analysis including writing/developing and tracing requirements
• Understanding of engineering and software development life cycle
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of work flow and requirements management tools
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems; and network appliances
• Ability to interface and brief with a wide variety of specialists within the organization, including: system engineers and administrators, software developers, system design architects, and management to include Government/Military personnel
