Peraton is currently seeking an Associate Operations Analyst for its’ Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) program located in Seaside, CA. Role & Responsibilities:
  • Analyze actual and predictable interacting operational activities of business to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making through the application of logic and scientific or economic disciplines and techniques.
  • Devise modeling and measuring techniques; utilizes mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques (linear programming, game theory, probability theory, symbolic language, etc.), and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines.
  • Will use and/or apply technical principles, theories, and concepts and demonstrate the skill and ability to perform professional tasks.
  • Will review sequential data files that are processed with SAS
  • Review the data quality and manage email alerts to stakeholders to communicate data processing status
  • Review specific data issues encountered based on customer provided business rules.
  • Develop recommended solutions to technical problems as assigned.
  • Review of work for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the completion of assigned technical tasks.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or 4 years of applicable, relevant experience in lieu of degree. 
  • Procedural coding experience (SAS); should be able to quickly learn SAS, if not experienced.
  • Basic understanding of distributed data management systems and PII/HIPA policies. 
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust  security clearance.   
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Python very helpful.
  • Current, active security clearance.
