Northrop Grumman – Propulsion Systems, Corrine Utah (Promontory Plant) is recruiting for an Industrial Security Analyst. This position will be primarily responsible for all Personnel Security actions and Security Education for Propulsion Systems. In addition, the Industrial Security Analyst will be required to learn and qualify to perform and support the other security disciplines (Program, Physical and Computer Security). Identified candidate will be required to complete training/certification as a Facility Security Officer in the first 12-months and qualify to perform within the other security disciplines (Program, Physical and Computer Security).
The responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain security’s database applications (DISS, NISS, SIMS, Corporate Databases, etc.)
- Initiate investigations
- Assist employees, review and process personnel clearance applications
- Obtain and submit electronic fingerprints
- Maintain personnel security records; manage customer reporting program (reportable/adverse info)
- Provide/document special briefings (NATO, RD/FRD/CNWDI, etc.)
- Prepare and send outgoing visit requests to other facilities
- Process incoming classified visit requests and provide administrative support for classified visits/meetings
- Assist with foreign visitors and manage foreign travel program
- Administer Security Education Program
- Assist Facility Security Officer (FSO) with oversight of the Industrial Security Program and share the daily workload of running the Promontory Plant security office.
- Present security briefings and help FSO develop the annual security training for cleared employees; provide initial and recurring security briefings.
- Control and safeguard classified documents
- Maintain classified contract program
- Assist with on-site inspections required by government regulations
- Conduct investigations and file official reports
- Other security related duties as assigned
- Review of technical papers and Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254)
- Review and evaluate security component of technical evaluations and requests for proposal
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have an active and current Secret clearance. Must qualify for and maintain minimum of Top Secret DoD clearance.
- Knowledge and understanding of the NISPOM
- Bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, an additional four years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; DISS and Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (eQIP)
- Database Management Skills
- Customer service oriented – must be able to work effectively with employees, management and customer representatives
- Effective written communication skills, report writing, and presentation skills
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills to include working with senior leaders/managers, customers, employees, and security personnel
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Personnel Security background - 1 year related experience desired
- FSO Certification
