Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a self-motivated, hard-working full-time Avionic Technician 4 to support Q4 (Global Hawk or Triton) Unmanned Aircraft Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Programs at various customer and/or field locations. The selected candidate will install and troubleshoot avionics systems wiring in aircraft in accordance with technical specifications and engineering instructions. Also, performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re assembly or adjustment of various vehicle systems. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Fabricates, installs and tests installation, routing, clamping and wiring harnesses.

Reads wiring diagrams and blueprints.

Maintains applicable customer required records, manuals and inspection forms. Recommends corrective actions and resolves problems using technical publications and analytic techniques.

Records information on maintenance data collection forms and automated systems. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinate product solution in minimum time.

Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.

Basic Qualification for Level 4:

  • An Associate’s Degree in an appropriate technical discipline and four (4) years of specialized experience OR; High School diploma and six (6) years of relevant experience
  • A basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be a US Citizen with current DoD Secret Clearance
  • Must be able to support the 24/7, fast paced, operations environment and adapt to changing priorities based on mission need
  • Willingness to work after hours and weekends as required
  • Must be willing to travel CONUS and OCONUS

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior Global Hawk or Triton UAV Avionic Technician experience (Vehicle Test Controller/BETTIE)
  • Federal Communication Commission (FCC) license
  • Working knowledge of maintenance databases
  • Certification in Electrical wire crimp/solder/fabrication

Salary Range: 58900 - 99600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
