Northrop Grumman Australia provides the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) with through-life support for its fleet of KC-30A Multi-role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft—a derivative of the Airbus A330-200. The platform is a trusted and proven asset and the program is continually growing in capability and expertise.

We are seeking a Junior Aircraft Structural Integrity Engineer to join the KC‑30A MTCH Services team based at Springfield.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the team in the delivery of required activities and outputs from the ASI/PSI Programs
  • Work with Airframes, Avionics and Missions Systems teams to address any issues arising from periodic assessments.
  • Attend and present at ASI and PSI Working Groups
  • Collection and processing of usage and condition data under the Usage Monitoring (UM), and Structural Condition Monitoring (SCM) systems
  • Development of technical reports, including Routine Usage Status Reports (RUSRs), Annual Fatigue Assessment Reports (AFARs), Environmental Degradation Assessment Reports (EDARs) and Mission Analyses (MA).
  • Provide support to the delivery of Design/MTCH Services

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree qualified (Mechanical or Aerospace)
  • Must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance (NV1)

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Defence Aviation Experience
  • Experience with programming (eg: python, VBA) and databases (SQL)

Note: As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable, as such your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
