Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking self-motivated, energetic individual to work at government customer site in Stafford, Virginia as a Software Engineer. The successful candidate will work on Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program designing, analyzing and maintaining Cisco based internal and external networks for operating a wide array of antenna systems. This position is contingent upon contract award. The prospective candidate will perform software development using Java technologies for distributed web and enterprise applications. The project deals with the capturing, management, and use of sensitive data. The prospective candidate will assist with requirements analysis, application design, code development, testing, code maintenance, and documentation. Some travel CONUS/OCONUS may be required. Individual will report to a technical lead within a multicontractor and government environment. Technical Lead may not be a Northrop Grumman engineer or manager.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Interface with customers to gather and document requirements.

• Develop software to meet customer requirements.

• Test software in operational environments at remote sites.

• Install and maintain software in production environments.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's + 9 years of exp; Master's + 7 years of exp; PhD + 4 years of exp; or 13 years of exp in lieu of degree

- Professional programming experience in Java.

- Successful candidates must be well organized, a good communicator, and capable of multi-tasking; must possess strong analytical skills, and be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

- Must be a US Citizen

- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with SCI and successfully complete a polygraph

- Favorable SECNAV 5512

- Shift – 1st/2nd shift with rotating weekend supports (~every 14 weeks)

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

- Web GUI front end development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Angular, JQuery) is highly desired

- Web service experience (e.g., RESTFul Web services)

- JEE (Java Enterprise Edition) experience (JDBC, JNI, JNDI, JMS, Servlet/JSP, EJB/JPA)

- Experience with Java Web application (e.g., Tomcat) serve rs or Java Applications servers (e.g. JBoss and/or Wildfly are highly desired)

- Developing Java applications that use relational databases (JDBC, SQL, and MySQL) is highly desirable

Salary Range: 125488 - 188232

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
