Northrop Grumman Corporation is seeking a Manager 1 - Pricing Cost Estimating  to join the

Northrop Grumman Mission System Sector, Pricing and Estimating Organization. The successful

applicant will become part of the sector Subcontract Proposal Cost Analysis (SPCA) team and will be

responsible for the leadership/oversight of the West/MidWest Region SPCA team. SPCA is responsible for conducting subcontractor cost analyses for all programs across the MS Sector in support of proposal

activities, subcontract negotiations in execution.

The preferred location for this position is Sunnyvale, CA working a hybrid work schedule. We will also consider a full time remote opportunity for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to,

  • Lead and manage conflicting priorities in a schedule driven environment

  • Responsible for daily operations of the West/MidWest Region SPCA team (assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, etc). Make decisions on operational issues within prescribed area and manage a staff of cost analysts and program teams in multiple geographic locations to include mentoring, training, staff development and performance reviews.

  • Manage, review, and approve delivery of on time and quality cost analyses

  • Coordinate, plan, and prioritize resources to support cost analysis requirements

  • Lead and provide guidance to the team, programs, suppliers, and other functions to ensure that proper FAR/DFARS and NG procedures are properly executed and in accordance with NGMS Estimating System

  • Lead the cost analysis team to ensure minimized skill gaps through cross training and knowledge transfer.   Provide guidance and ensure continued development of staff.

  • Lead, manage and ensure delivery of timely and quality cost analyses through supplier proposal adequacy, and use of dashboards/metrics

  • Collaborate and partner with GSC, Suppliers, Contracts, Pricing, DCMA/DCAA and other functions to support proposal activities and subcontract negotiations in execution

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years relevant Pricing and/or Business experience – OR – Masters degree and 3 years of relevant Pricing and/or Business experience

  • Knowledge of government acquisition process, FAR/DFARS and other applicable government regulations.

  • Knowledge of pricing, contracts, or business management

  • Experience with U.S. Government, commercial, and international proposals.

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time

  • Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance

  • Demonstrated strengths will include a highly collaborative work style, the ability to anticipate problems, success in resolving difficult situations and effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.


Salary Range: $93,800 USD - $163,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
