Northrop Grumman is seeking a Facilities Engineer to: Lead the execution and management of facilities projects that support both sustaining infrastructure and new program facilitation requirements. In this position you will plan, design and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities. Responsibility includes gathering, reviewing, and finalizing requirements data regarding facility or equipment specifications, required completion dates, and construction feasibility.

Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings. Prepares Scopes of Work, and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction services. Reviews and estimates design costs, including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Experience Requirements:                                                                                       

  • Interact will all levels of the organization and external representatives
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Interpret building and utility drawings and make the revisions as required
  • Develop and update Preventive and Predictive maintenance initiatives.
  • Develop short and long term corrective actions for existing and/or repeating issues.
  • Develop energy conservation initiatives, cost improvements and efficiency improvements
  • Have applied knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project) and AutoCAD capabilities

Basic Qualifications:

  • 9 years experience with Facilities and Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering degree; or 7 years experience and MS Degree or 4 years experience and PhD.
  • Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting a large Manufacturing Facility
  • Demonstrated knowledge of California Code and Regulatory requirements
  • Experience using a CMMS, i.e., Maintenance Connection
  • Experience using BIM Software - Revit


Salary Range: $114,300 USD - $171,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
