Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Services organization is seeking a dynamic, innovative IT Operations Manager in our Sunnyvale, CA (SVL) location. This motivated individual will be responsible for overseeing classified and unclassified IT operations, including Cybersecurity, for multiple programs within the Maritime/Land Systems and Sensors Division, Marine Systems Business Unit (MSBU).

This person will act as the primary point of contact between the Enterprise Services team and assigned MSBU programs. This candidate will also oversee and manage information system solution concept development (proposal phase). Additionally, the candidate will lead the design, development, integration/test and support of information systems and security (post award). This includes managing the priorities and day-to-day activities for IT and Cybersecurity personnel and resources.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Overall technical quality and performance, budget, and schedule for IT/Cybersecurity content on the assigned programs, ensuring the programs adhere to sound technical processes in IT/Cybersecurity in accordance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards. Additionally, the applicant will lead non-recurring and recurring support activities across multiple programs

  • Coordinate with program leadership, homeroom managers, and end user groups to identify, plan, implement, and sustain IT/Cybersecurity solutions to meet program strategic and tactical objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of IT experience; or a master’s degree and 7 years of IT experience

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with a wide range of users ranging from very technical to non-technical.

  • Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement experience

  • Proven IT project management experience and demonstrated leadership skills, including planning, scheduling, workload forecasting and proposal development.

  • Must be a US Citizen and be eligible for a Secret level clearance following hire.

  • Must be able to work full time in Sunnyvale, California.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or a master’s degree, in Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or Network Engineering (or similar STEM related discipline) is preferred.

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Project Manager with knowledge in cost, budgets, and schedules

  • Familiarity with the MSBU business, government customers, and programs is a plus.

  • Experience or familiarity with computer aided manufacturing equipment is a plus

  • Previous Enterprise Services Program Manager experience.

  • Experience with Agile based practices and Lean Six Sigma methodology.

  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement concepts, processes, and tools.

  • Results-oriented team player, with the ability to handle a rapidly changing set of projects and priorities while maintaining a strong professional presence.

  • Customer-focused with proven leadership and excellent communication skills with ability to drive cross functional teams to action when working in a matrix organization. 

  • Self-starter who works quickly and effectively, can get up to speed with program processes quickly and enjoys a fast paced, dynamic environment. 

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to effectively challenge the status quo while providing innovative solutions to complex IT requirements Program Management

  • Active Secret Level clearance

Salary Range: $125,800 USD - $188,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
