Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a hybrid Project Manager or Principal Project Manager to join our Launcher Operations CPS Program team based out of Sunnyvale, CA.

What You’ll get to Do:

As a Project Manager, you will be the primary point of contact between the program office, program planning, operations, business management, and engineering. 

  • The project manager will coordinate inputs for regular program status updates as well as program reviews. 
  • The project manager will support the execution of the program and the delivery of hardware via managing the program Integration Master Schedule (IMS) on MS Project with our program planner.  They will be tasked with investigating anomalous findings in the IMS and driving paths to closure.
  • The project manager will be responsible for coordinating all required pre-shipment reviews, source inspections, and documentation submittals for major hardware deliverables.
  • The project manager will support our business management group in analyzing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) metrics, determine paths for improvement, and execute those plans.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications for Project Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in with 3+ years of experience

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects simultaneously

• Working level knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications

• Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance

Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree in with 6+ years of experience

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects simultaneously

• Working level knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications

• Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Agile Development

• Ability to manage Microsoft Project schedules

• Knowledge of setting up a program and managing in SharePoint


Salary Range: $70,200 USD - $105,200 USD
Salary Range 2: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
