Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is currently seeking an individual contributor Project Manager to join the Strategic Weapons System Program Support team located (onsite) in either our Sunnyvale, CA office or our Cape Canaveral, FL facility.

The Project Manager will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between the project team, line management, and customer. This position will be responsible for assessing project issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. This includes the development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress, intervention and problem solving that effectively addresses customer requirements and incorporates the necessary internal and external requirements.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Manage Strategic Weapons System’s Information Management work scope
  • Lead or participate in the development of improved processes and procedures
  • Execute Business Resiliency & Resumption requirements for the Strategic Weapons System Product Line
  • Manage Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) submissions due to the Navy Customer
  • Execute Contract Incentive Plan requirements to maximize sales
  • Support and participate in proposal development for the Operating Unit
  • Develop and deliver training in support of new and existing policy/procedure
  • Monitor and report status of high priority Information Technology and Security issues to customers, executive management, and other program stakeholders
  • Other Program/Project Management assignments as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 years' experience with Bachelor's degree or 4 years' experience with Master’s Degree
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships
  • Must be a self-starter, develop solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity and innovation
  • Possess superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Above average skills in MS Office Applications (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
  • Be comfortable and work well as part of an integrated team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of customer compliance documents, government instructions, and government standards
  • Knowledge of Government Contracts and related documents
  • A proactive approach to risk management and continuous process improvement
  • MS SharePoint Proficiency
  • MS Project Proficiency
  • MS Excel Proficiency

Salary Range: $72,400 USD - $125,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
