Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) sector is seeking a Manager of Business Operations 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in Sykesville, MD. This position will report directly to the site director to manage all site and business operational aspects of the organization.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Manages all phases of assigned location program objectives from inception through completion.
  • Responsible for supporting the site director in all site day-to-day activities of assigned program site and overall site operations and Operating Unit objectives, including but not limited to monthly reporting, business unit reviews, site visits, staff meetings, quarterly team meetings & strategy sessions.
  • Participates in Crisis Management Team (CMT).
  • Leads involvement in DE&I efforts, EAG, ERG engagement, Stand Together for Change, engagement survey action planning, business growth objectives, LRSP, affordability & digital transformation initiatives.
  • Responsible for operations administrative planning (recurring meetings, Business Unit Reviews, All Hands & Leadership Meetings, etc.)
  • Oversee campus workforce engagement activities to include the coordination of the site employee action groups for cross Division collaboration opportunities.
  • Drives collaboration and coordination with all functional organizations across Sykesville campus as well as the various other sites within the business unit.
  • Manage and support the development of site and business unit communications, meetings, events and oversee campus Workforce Engagement activities to include the coordination of the site EAGs, ERGs.
  • Manage Future of Work effort in collaboration with facilities, human resources, functional and operating unit leaders, as well as other special assignments and initiatives within Power and Control Systems.
  • Ensures that capital projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Serves as a liaison with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling or specific phases of projects or contracts.
  • Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal external representatives concerning selected operations.
  • Manage Integrated Project Team of leaders from facilities, EH&S, security to ensure consistency and collaboration, drive business outcomes, and achieve results and successful operation of activities that have significant consequence to the organization.
  • Accomplishes results through influence and partnership with all levels of employees across various functional organization. Strong matrix relationship.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant work experience, Master's Degree with 6+ years of experience; PhD with 3+ years of experience (Note: an additional 4+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated ability to set objectives and manage teams to meet budgets and schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of financial management and financial reporting tools/systems.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with cross functional, campus or multi-discipline collaboration.

Salary Range: $113,200 USD - $169,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
