Quality Analyst

At Northrop Grumman, you’ll have the resources, support, and team to do some of the best work of your career.   Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a manufacturing Floor Quality Analyst (FQA) to support multiple programs at our Skyesville, MD campus. The main duties of this position include:  

• The FQA will provide manufacturing cell floor support, including the generation and disposition of QN's, investigating nonconformances created in house or with vendor supplied materials, support Program Quality Engineers in FAI's as needed, and research requirements, such as workmanship and design. The FQA must be able to understand and interpret specifications, blueprints and manufacturing aids. 
• The FQA will communicate and collaborate with customers (internal and external) as well as across functional organizations, including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Global Supply Chain to ensure quality standards are in place. The FQA will also interface with the Supplier Performance Management (SPM) as necessary and assist the PQE with vendor related internal hardware containments. 
• The FQA will understand our Quality Management System (QMS) and conduct Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) for identified nonconformances. The FQA will conduct preventive and corrective action as necessary, as well as internal audits and floor sweeps for non-conformance identification and correction. Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable standards, collect Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) and ensure overall compliance with requirements.  Facilitate "zero defect" continual improvement efforts.
• The FQA will also support inspection staff as needed, and support customer engagement and selloff activities
• Possess organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple shifting priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience (or 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
• Ability to read engineering documentation (drawings, and specs), interpret drawing dimensions, features, parts lists, and identify critical features. 
• Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems 
• Knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.  (US Citizenship required)

  Preferred Qualifications:

• Holds an interim or active Secret clearance
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
