We are currently seeking an Support Desk System Operator is to provide Level-3 support to Northrop Grumman Australia clients as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 3 support to Northrop Grumman clients as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)

  • Provide quality customer interaction and engagement

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, Level 4 Engineering and Hardware Support teams to ensure issues are resolved within pre-defined Service level Agreements (SLAs)

  • Provide QA testing for our products along with the creation of knowledge articles for Northrop Grumman Australia clients.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator OR Linux+ OR LPIC-1 OR demonstrated 3yrs experience with Linux systems

  • Proficient in virtualisation and administering server systems

  • Ability to interact with technical and management staff to develop and problem solve technical requirements

  • A Working knowledge of the following;

    • ITIL (v3)

    • TCP/IP (packet level)

    • IP Addressing and subnetting

    • Switching technologies

    • Dynamic routing protocols

  • Working knowledge of Splunk

  • Understand scripting languages such as Python / Bash

  • Certificate or relevant experience in IT or demonstrated  3 years industry experience

  • Ability to identify and prioritise work

  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences in both written and verbal

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly

  • Must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 Australian Government security clearance.

Desired experience

  • Exposure to Cryptographic products and handling

  • CCNA certified or demonstrated 1yr experience administering Cisco solutions

  • Splunk Core Certified User

  • Splunk Core Certified Power User

  • Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin

Note: As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable, as such your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
