We are seeking a Subcontracts Specialist  to help us deliver on a range of key activities for NGA.  This role will be integral to shaping a range of opportunities and driving organisational improvements in how we deliver activities across the company.  This position has exceptional exposure to senior members of the Northrop Grumman leadership group to help shape future activities and direction for Northrop Grumman.

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Understand and explore Company Enterprise agreements and application of those agreements to the Northrop Grumman Australia environment.

  • Identify opportunities for whole of company agreements.

  • Manage indirect purchasing and supply chain operations

  • Ensure Supply Chain activities are aligned with the organisational strategies and objectives.

  • Provide guidance on subcontract matters to operational staff, including training in subcontracting practices and procedures where necessary

  • Identification of problems, determine corrective action, including consultation and escalating problems that require additional support or assistance to resolve.

  • Management of Company Agreements

  • Assist in the development of Agreement Change Proposals and other contractual documents,

  • Continually monitor and incorporate improvements to processes

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative business relationships with key stakeholders

  • Strong problem solving abilities and ability to work independently

  • Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and achieve objectives

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

  • Advanced computer skills (particularly Microsoft Excel and Word)

  • Team focused with an ability to work with and motivate others

  • Knowledge of contract law, administration, and financial aspects

  • A strong sense of ethics, including the ability to obtain and apply company ethics and business conduct policies and values

  • Australian Citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance

Desired experience

  • Experience within the Defence industry; or Department of Defence/Australian Defence Force contracting environment highly regarded

  • Knowledge of Department of Defence ASDEFCON requirements

Note: As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable, as such your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
