Northrop Grumman’s Business Unit, Armament Systems, is seeking an Engineering Technician 3 for our location in Plymouth, MN. Armament Systems produces Ammunition and Gun Systems.
Position Summary: Employee will work with internal programs on building Mechanical and Electrical devices. Soldering, potting, wiring, using multi meters and oscilloscopes as well as working directly with Engineers.
Skills required:
Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience with a High School degree.
Previous experience using the following testing equipment: Multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering equipment and laser welder preferred.
Solder certified; J-Standard
Posses electrical component understanding; such as, the ability to read drawings and schematics.
Previous experience gathering, maintaining and compiling technical data.
Able to read engineering documentation and reports.
Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Skills:
Electrical Tech degree or certification
Knowledge or experience with explosives or energetic assembly and test.
Capable to safely operate equipment that is designed or modified for the build and test munitions.
Assembly, disassembly, processing, repairing and testing of small arms, artillery and other mechanical or electrical ordnance assemblies is a plus.
