Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Engineering Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

This position is for the Section Manager (SM) of a multi-discipline group of Vehicle Engineers for the B-2 program in OKC-Tinker, reporting to the Vehicle Engineering (VE) Department Manager, Palmdale Aircraft Integration Center of Excellence.  The SM will lead a growing team of engineers supporting B-2 hardware sustaining. SM will be responsible for leading all managerial tasks relevant to Vehicle Engineering, which may include  Structural Analysis (Stress, Electrical, and M&P). The section manager will work 80% of their time in one or more of the Vehicle Engineering disciplines, as directed by the B-2 Hardware Sustaining IPT. The manager will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and facilitating communications, tasking, scheduling, and technical reviews with each individual contributor’s associated functional task lead in Palmdale, CA. For functional home room support, approximately 20% of the SM’s time will be focused on recruiting, staffing, retaining talent, and holding performance reviews. Supporting relevant VE NGAS Community of Practice will be expected. 

Basic Qualifications: 

•ABET accredited Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline along with 9 years' experience

•Demonstrated excellence in a vehicle engineering field such as structural design, stress analysis, materials, and/or thermodynamics

•Ability to acquire a DoD Secret Clearance 

Preferred Qualifications: 
•ABET accredited Master of Science Degree in Engineering
•Current active DoD Top Secret Clearance or Secret Clearance with a background investigation within the scope of five years. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain all required security clearances and program specific accesses.

•Expert knowledge of NGC and/or B-2 engineering processes.
•5 years of B-2 Hardware Sustaining engineering experience.
•Demonstrated success in B-2 leadership/management roles.
•Experience with B-2 BTP development and aircraft modifications.  
•Experience with CATIA V5, Teamcenter, and B-2 legacy tools.
•Current Active In-Scope DOD Secret with Program Access.
•Experience with Staffing Forecasting

Salary Range: 104600 - 156800

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
