If so, we need your experience as a Systems Administrator to administrate, operate and maintain US Navy submarine combat systems trainers in  Groton Connecticut.   Responsibilities include:  • Systems Administration related issues with hardware and software using different versions of RedHat Enterprise Linux  • Assist in creating solutions for  hardware configurations including Cisco Switch/Router Configurations, Video Matrix Switches, and COTs Rackmount servers.  • Propose system administration process improvement to reduce overall maintenance requirements by working with the design team and manufacturers. • Use your knowledge in both hardware and software requirements in order to investigate alternatives for meeting mission requirements.

Basic Qualifications: •  This position emphasized skills and experience.  Must have 7 years of related system administration experience.  Will also consider a Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3 years of related experience. •  Ability to obtain a Secret clearance; Interim Secret required to start. •  Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software using Linux and Windows •  Hardware and software experience with any two of the following skills: PC/Intel Servers, Networking/Cisco, Keyboard Video Mouse (KVM), Video Conversion, Video Matrix Switches, Serial Interfaces, Terminal Emulation.
Preferred Qualifications: •Linux and Cisco Certifications • Current Secret Clearance • Navy Tactical LAN Experience • Navy Sonar Experience • IAT Level II Certification • Information Assurance for Linux and Windows / Systems Administration
