Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Services organization is seeking highly motivated individuals with experience in Site Reliability Engineering and Information Security to be a part of our new Site Reliability Engineering Team. This team will help support the broader vision of the Enterprise by enabling cultural and digital transformation. Individuals will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing the efficiency of infrastructure as well as the reliability, and scalability of our technology stacks.

This position can be hired as a Principal (Level 3) or Sr. Principal (Level 4), depending upon the candidates experience and education.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement processes and tools to ensure that security best practices are built into the Infra as Code and automation

• Implement monitoring and alerting schemes to detect and notify when security incidents should be investigated

• Work with teams to modernize application environments, implementing Infra as Code and automating operational tasks

• Work with development teams to implement security processes in CI/CD

• Follow DevSecOps processes to develop and release new features and capabilities • Major Incident Response

• Implement monitoring and alerting schemes to detect and notify when performance thresholds are not being met

• Provide and maintain system documentation

In addition to the described duties above, the Level 4 will also be responsible for:

• Help design and implement secure software development processes

• Evaluate risk and identify mitigations for new infrastructure and products

• Implement tools to assess applications for vulnerabilities and ensure compliance

Basic Qualifications for the Principal Level:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or related Engineering disciplines and at least 5 years of experience as Software Developer or related field; 3 years with a Master's degree

• Demonstrated Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps Principles

• Experience with cloud infrastructure

• Proficient using code, such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell, for automating operational tasks

• Experience using configuration management frameworks (e.g. Ansible/Chef/Puppet) Basic Qualifications for the Sr. Principal Level:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or related Engineering disciplines and at least 9 years of experience as Software Developer or related field; 7 years with a Master's degree

• Demonstrated Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps Principles

• Experience with cloud infrastructure

• Proficient using code, such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell, for automating operational tasks

• Experience using configuration management frameworks (e.g. Ansible/Chef/Puppet)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years' experience using Ansible

• Experience in cloud provisioning code development and tools, Terraform and CloudFormation

• Experience using containers in a kubernetes orchestrated environment

• Certifications in AWS or Azure • Experience implementing OpenID Connect

• Experience using certificate management tools, such as AWS Certificate Management, Azure Key Vault, and Red Hat Certificate System

• Experience with security tools such as AWS Inspector and Azure Security Center to assess applications for vulnerabilities and ensure compliance

Salary Range: 1 - 1

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
