We are looking for an Administration Generalist 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the System Integration and Test (SIT) organization.  This position will be remotely based.

The successful candidate will be a vital member of the department functional team and will perform in an administrative role supporting the Director of SIT, the Functional Managers, and the Chief Test Engineers (CTEs) of the organization to manage the personnel staffing schedule for highly dynamic weeks to month long System Test campaigns.  This staffing schedule will change on a near daily basis and the candidate will work with the management team to balance resource constraints in the facility and shifting program schedules and priorities for concurrent test campaigns against personnel PTO, team dynamics, and other availability factors to ensure all program needs are supported via active staff management. This will include reaching out and confirming availability windows of engineering resources but does not including conflict resolution which will be escalated through the functional management team.

In addition, this candidate will also be a key player in developing integrated test schedules across multiple concurrent programs, with the support of the CTEs, and will support disparate CTEs with developing or updating metrics, including performance against baseline schedule and cost, as needed. 

The selected candidate will be well-organized, able to handle a wide range of assignments on time, be an exceptional team player, as well as collaborative, self-motivated, detail oriented, assertive as necessary and able to work with minimal supervision.  In addition, the selected candidate will possess a high level of competency with standard commercial and Microsoft products including:

  • Outlook, Skype, Teams, and Zoom for communication with management team and engineers
  • MS Excel for creating staffing/integrated schedule plans and data analytics
  • MS Project for creating project schedules
  • MS VISIO for creating executive level flow charts and diagrams
  • MS PowerPoint to create communication charts as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years’ experience; or Master’s Degree with 4 year experience. Additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of Degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills with proven success in organizing, prioritizing, and completing assigned responsibilities.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite (see job description)
  • Experience with project or personnel scheduling
  • Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Programming/scripting experience including VBA for MS applications and data parsing/analysis languages such as Python
  • Experience working on Marine Propulsion supporting Design, Manufacturing, or Test
  • Experience as project support in a similar role for large (30+ member teams or $100 Million) projects
  • Working Knowledge of Earned Value Management and Risk Management

Salary Range: $78,500 USD - $117,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
