Perform as key member of Facilities strategic planning homeroom function.  Lead on digital Facilities planning related efforts (including planning and Archibus tools). Assist Lead Strategic Planner in coordination of planning efforts of 8+ planners across various site locations. Capture, analyze, and validate emerging facilities requirements from relevant stakeholders such as NG Programs and functions.  Develop space planning studies, strategic scenarios development, and site utilization plans. Review site capabilities, space utilization requirements, NG strategy, and business/program pursuits.  Lead the development of Strategic Facilities Plans and Long Range Site Plans.  Develop strategic solution elements for Facilities Project Managers and Facilities Planners for site level planning.

This position will require a high level of communication, written, and oral.  The ability to deliver information and presentations to executive leadership, programs and customers/requesters and various stakeholders. May coordinate the work of employee(s) assigned to the projects and shall be responsible for supporting both internal and external customers in a dynamic and fast paced environment. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage space planning for multiple sites and buildings, with a variety of projects in broad range of size and scopes.
  • Develop fit studies including current and proposed layouts. 
  • Provide overview and Management of the facilities database (Archibus).  
  • Advise leadership and team members on various programs potential strategic direction, impacting facilities.
  • Utilization of AutoCAD
  • Collect NG and Program objectives and requirements and use strategic planning processes, tools, and templates to align resources and capabilities
  • Conceptualize strategic planning scenarios across multiple sites
  • Possess extensive knowledge of Facilities and Strategy data needs and represent NGAS in Digital Transformation initiatives
  • Work with Real Estate on portfolio strategy and opportunities for consolidation, growth, divestiture, and optimization
  • Support processes related to capture and integration of site/building capabilities, real property, economic incentives, business pursuits, and NG strategy.
  • Create and maintain data, process, and system metrics related to performance, readiness, resourcing, and validity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 Years with Bachelors; 8 Years with Masters
  • Must have experience and working knowledge of facility topics such as: Facilities space planning, basic building codes, infrastructure (electrical, phone/data/AV, etc) knowledge, and overall experience associated with a large, multi-building campuses.
  • Ability to utilize AutoCAD or other map/diagram/modeling tools such as Visio, Revit
  • Experience working with Facilities Management Systems (e.g. Archibus)
  • Must have experience and success interacting with customers and building facility vendors.
  • Experience in Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Department of Defense Top Secret and/or SCI Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Active TS or SCI (SSBI) clearance
  • Prior Archibus Experience
