The Enterprise Release Management Lead will be responsible for the strategic development and ongoing management of change and delivery at the enterprise level. This is accomplished by leveraging ITIL standards and best practices in partnership with infrastructure, development, testing and production support organizations. Additionally, this position will be responsible for working with leadership, program offices, service lines, strategy, architecture, and others, in order to drive the integration and overall management across multiple functions.

Position Summary / Responsibilities

  • Drive the planning, execution, and finalization of the Enterprise Release Management plan and lifecycle.

  • Consolidate and integrate the deliverables of multiple projects (or more generally, change initiatives) that may be time-boxed and planned so they can be tested and released into the NG environment.

  • Support enterprise portfolio/project management (PPM) and bring a pragmatic architecture and execution perspective to the selection and planning of releases across the enterprise.

  • Provide organizations with a comprehensive view of change across a large collection of solutions allowing project and service managers to coordinate projects that have adopted more continuous delivery approaches with those that require a more sequential approach for delivery.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with minimum of 14 years of industry related experience in IT, Software Management, Systems Engineering, Mission Assurance or Program Management.

  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Release Management, change management design, communication, training, project management and effectiveness practices

  • Have strong leadership communication skills and the ability to lead meetings and discussions related to release and change management and employ advanced knowledge as a Release Manager.

  • The willingness and ability to travel domestically, and potentially internationally, up to 10% of the time.

  • US Citizenship is required.

  • Ability to work independently and make independent decisions, ensuring high levels of collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts in a team environment.

  • Strong analytical, leadership, and organizations skills.


Salary Range: $141,800 USD - $212,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
